The Crowded Shelf came about as a way to elevate visibility for Indie and Self-published authors while shooting the breeze at a particularly slow convention. Fast forward a few months and the founding members went out to dinner at another convention, hammering out the details of the idea.
Each of us has many bookselling events under our collective belts – more than a hundred events between the founders alone. Whether it’s appearing as guest authors conventions, running tables in vendor halls, or setting up at myriad markets across the country, we’ve done it and it felt a natural progression to combine our efforts to take on larger shows.
Larger shows means reaching more fans, and that’s always a wonderful thing. The Crowded Shelf enables us to magnify the presences of each of the involved authors.
