Epic fantasy author Katharine E. Wibell is both prolific and multi-talented: author, artist, nerd, extrovert, and speaker. Her first series, The Incarn Saga, began in 2016 with Issaura’s Claws. For an adult audience, The Guardian’s Speaker—a sixteen volume, dark Viking fantasy novella series—retells Nordic myth in the nine realms that exist around Yggdrasil, the world tree. The nerd in her spent years researching, reading source material and sagas, studying runes, and acquiring Viking reproductions. Her books have garnered awards and recognition including several Best-Selling ribbons in Amazon categories.
As publishing evolves, Wibell adapts. She promotes her work on a number of online platforms including her website and social media. Her books are available in print, eBook, and audiobook formats. Notably, George Blagden, the English actor who played Athelstan in the Vikings TV series, is The Guardian’s Speaker’s narrator.
Strong public-speaking skills and an engaging personality led to hosting weekly hour-long live chats with fellow authors on #BookTok. She is completely at ease sharing information or giving a demo. Wibell, who believes in the power of mentoring and networking, has served on a number of panels at conventions like Dragon Con and Jordan Con.
Also an artist, Katharine paints a variety of pet and animal portraiture in the reverse-glass style. Free time finds her kayaking, hiking, brewing mead, reading, and spending time with her husband and their dogs!
